District 20 Alert - Important Neighborhood Meetings, Planning Commission Hearings & KY Roadshow

A third meeting has been scheduled which is a follow-up to the ones held at different meeting locations on December 31, 2011 and February 9, 2012. This meeting is intended to present neighbors with the latest revised plan for the Hills Communities, for a zone change to allow a resort-style apartment community at the above location.
The follow up meeting will be held on Saturday, March 31st, at 11AM at the Kingdom Center Church located at 12610 Taylorsville Road to further discuss the plan.

Neighborhood Meeting – 34 acres along Ellingsworth Lane (north of I-64 and east of Blankenbaker Pkwy)
A meeting has been scheduled on Thursday, March 29th at 7pm at the East Government Center on Juneau Drive off Shelbyville Road in Middletown. AT the meeting, the developer and developer’s attorney will present their plan for 398 apartments for that location.

ROADSHOW for the week beginning March 26, 2012
Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may occur, so the information below is strictly of an advisory nature and is subject to change with no notice.
Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night. Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.
Jefferson County:
Interstate 264 (Watterson Expressway): Roadway will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Dixie Highway and Preston Highway (mile points 8.0 and 12.7) due to concrete repairs and diamond grinding on this section of roadway. These lane closures are scheduled from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30th until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2nd.
Westbound Interstate 264 (Watterson Expressway): Right lane closure possible between Bardstown Road and Newburg Road (mile points 15.6 and 14.5) due to sound barrier installation. Lane closures are possible on weeknights from 9:00 p.m. each evening until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. On weekends, lane and ramp closures are possible from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, until 6:00 a.m. on Monday.
Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway): Lane closures and delays possible in both directions between Interstate 64 and US 60 (mile points 25.4 and 26.7) due to interchange improvements. Lane closures are possible on weeknights from 8:00 p.m. each evening until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. On weekends, lane and ramp closures are possible from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, until 5:00 a.m. on Monday. The speed limit in the work zone is reduced to 55 MPH.
US 60 (Shelbyville Road): Lane closures and delays possible in both directions at I-265 (mile point 12.0) due to interchange improvements.
KY 22: Lane closures and delays possible between Chamberlain Lane and Murphy Lane (mile points 4.0 and 5.6) due to roadway widening.
KY 1531: Lane closures and delays possible between the Jefferson/Bullitt County line and US 60 (mile points 0.0 and 9.1) due to guardrail installation. Lane closures are scheduled for weekdays from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Bullitt County:
KY 480 (Cedar Grove Road): Shoulder closures and delays possible between Interstate 65 and Cedar Grove Elementary School (mile points 1.0 and 2.0) due to shoulder work.
Franklin County:
US 60X: The roadway is closed across the Kentucky River Bridge (Singing Bridge) between Bridge Street and St. Clair Street (mile points 0 and 0.07) due to bridge painting. The bridge will be closed until late summer. Motorists should follow the signed detour via U.S. 60, the Capital Avenue Bridge and West Main Street. Pedestrian access will be restricted. Any person with disabilities needing transportation across the bridge should call Frankfort Transportation at 502-875-8565. This service is free for those needing ADA access.
Henry County:

Oldham County:
Northbound Interstate 71: Left lane will be closed at the bridge over KY 393 (mile point 18.5) due to bridge deck repairs. This lane closure is scheduled for Monday, March 26th from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Northbound Interstate 71: Left lane closed at mile point 20.0 due to waterline construction. Lane closures are scheduled for weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. through mid-April.
KY 146: Roadway will be closed near Park Road (mile point 3.7) due to cross-drain installation. This road closure is scheduled for Saturday, March 24th from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. KYTC crews will be direction traffic through a signed detour via North Camden Lane and the Old LaGrange Road Connector.
Shelby County:
Interstate 64: Lane closures scheduled between the Jefferson/Shelby County line and the Simpsonville exit (mile points 23.2 to 28.1) due to asphalt paving. Lane closures are planned for Monday – Saturday from 7:00 p.m. each evening until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. The roadway could be reduced to one lane during the evenings. The speed limit is reduced to 55 MPH in the construction zone.

US 421: Construction delays possible near the bridge over the Ohio River (mile points 18.7 to 19.2). The bridge has been posted for a 3-ton weight limit.
