Councilman Engel and his Legislative Assistant, Jared Townes, will participate at Cafe Louie on Saturday, January 14 at 9am at the Fern Creek High School Auditorium , 9115 Fern Creek Road.
Café LOUIE is designed to be an informal gathering of civic minded individuals interested in meeting with their elected officials to discuss local issues. When you arrive, grab a cup of Heine Brothers coffee and fill out a notecard with your specific question(s). After a brief introduction of elected officials and special guests, a trained facilitator will direct your questions to officials for comment and discussion.
During their first caucus meeting of 2023, the Republican members of the Louisville Metro Council’s Minority Caucus unanimously re-elected Councilman Anthony Piagentini (District 19) to the position of Caucus Chair and Councilman Kevin Kramer (District 11) as Caucus Vice-Chair.
Councilman Piagentini, who was re-elected to the Metro Council in 2022 will be serving his third year as Minority Caucus leader. Councilman Kevin Kramer, who was re-elected in 2022 to his sixth term on the Metro Council is returning to caucus leadership in the position of Minority Caucus Vice-Chair. Kramer has previously served as both chair and vice-chair of the caucus.

The Louisville Metro Democratic Caucus members elected Councilwoman Paula McCraney (D-7) as Caucus Chair and Councilwoman Cindi Fowler (D-14) as Caucus Vice-Chair.
The Louisville Metro Council unanimously elected President Markus Winkler (D-17) during the first organizational meeting of the year.
