The St. James Court Art Show is a juried fine arts and contemporary crafts show featuring over 600 artists from around the U.S. held among the country’s largest collection of Victorian homes in the heart of historic Old Louisville.
During this three-day event you’ll find delightful works of art in 17 artistic mediums, from clay to wood, lovingly created by talented artists. With so much to choose from, you’re sure to discover your next must-have treasure. View a complete list of the participating artists here! Don't forget to check out the food vendors who will be set up in the court, as well as on 4th and 3rd streets.
Event hours on Friday and Saturday are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Head to New Albany this weekend for the start of their week-long festival, Harvest Homecoming! Kick off Day 1 with fun activities like the Harvest Hike, Bicycle Tour or the Harvest Homecoming Parade. For the Parade, starting at 3 p.m., get there early for a front row view and experience over-the-top floats, vintage cars and exciting bands!
Additional activities include the Pumpkin Decorating Contest on Sunday, Kid's Dog Show on Monday and Festival Rides starting Tuesday! Booth days are the 6th through the 9th.
This festival is a free, family-friendly event.

BowmanFest is a two-day event on October 1st & 2nd that features rare vintage aircraft, warplanes and military vehicles from all over the U.S.! Come celebrate 100 years of Bowman Field!
Kick off the event with the Bowman Field 5K on the Runway! A fast, flat course that takes place almost entirely on the airfield. Runners will receive a commemorative medal and shirt along with a beverage and admission to the main event with their registration. Register here.
Additional activities include an aerobatic airshow where you can watch first class pilots and planes do aerobatic maneuvers in the CAT3 airbox with thrilling maneuvers, smoke and excitement!
Admission is free for Veterans, $20 per person or $50 for family four pack! $15 for Seniors or youth 15 and under. Purchase your tickets in advance here.

The 4th annual Louisville Taco Festival is returning to Fourth Street Live!

The 19th annual Nunnlea Craft Fair takes place at the 157 year old Historic Nunnlea Home. There will be artists in each room as well as on the front porch and on the front yard. The craft artists will be offering a wide variety of quality handmade items including, jewelry, gourd art, needlework, glass, basketry, wood crafts and pottery. In addition to great artists, there is plenty of free parking and space for browsing in a beautiful setting.
Visitors to the craft fair are also invited to enjoy a special seasonal lunch at the Calico Café located inside the Nunnlea Historic Home. The menu will include a selection of gourmet sandwiches, soups and desserts.
This event is free and open to the public.

This Saturday at the Portland Museum enjoy the Portland Art and Heritage Fair inside the museum and outside in their acre backyard! The space will be filled with things to do, buy, see and eat.
There will be several art collectives, beer brewers, nonprofit initiatives, taco trucks, craftspeople and more set up, along with the Tip It Forward Mobile Wellness Clinic offering free massages! The Louisville Academy of Music will also be there presenting an instrumental petting zoo. This is a free, family-friendly event.

Join Chef Chris Williams of Four Pegs Smokehouse and Bar alongside more than 20 chefs and industry workers to honor the life of celebrity chef, Anthony Bourdain, at A Taste For Life.
The event helps those working in the service industry who suffer from depression, anxiety and the challenging day to day dealings of working in the industry. A Taste for Life will shut down Spratt Street in Germantown and feature chefs' samplings of signature dishes, live music and guest speakers!

The legendary Juggernaut Jug Band will introduce you to music that originated in Louisville and called 20’s rock and roll. They play an assortment of wildly interesting instruments including a jug, washboard, kazoo and more. They are fun for kids ages 0-109!
Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy the music on the shaded lawn. The 1792 barn serves as the stage backdrop and offers a spectacular sunset view. Explore the Blackacre Conservancy grounds and enjoy feeding the farm animals along the fence line. Food and merchandise available for purchase.

A Louisville tradition for over 40 years, Boo at the Zoo, presented by Meijer, transforms your Zoo into a living storybook, complete with some of your favorite characters brought to life, fun music and a safe place for trick-or-treating for kids 11 and under. Your party ticket includes all rides, attractions and parking.
To help provide social distancing and to reduce contact, there will be a limited number of treat booths throughout the Zoo. This year, rather than receiving one treat per booth, kids 11 and under will receive multiple treats at each station!

More than 5,000 artistically carved pumpkins illuminate the night as an “organic art show” at Iroquois Park during the month of October!

Ultimate Halloween Fest returns this year to both Paristown Pointe and the Legend of Pope Lick!
This year features several fun activities for Halloween fans of all ages including the free Silver Screams Classic Horror Movie Series at Paristown. Four classic horror films will be shown on the projector screen at Christy's Garden each starting at dusk: Oct. 1 Dracula (1931), Oct. 8 The Wolf Man (1941), Oct. 15 The Invisible Man (1933), Oct. 22 Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948).
Other events include Oktoberfest, Pope Lick Chili Cook-Off, the Great Pumpkin Night and the Spookshow Spectacular all at the Legend of Pope Lick. End the month with the Halloween Balloon Glow and the Halloween Parade at Paristown.
