Tarc Public Engagement

tarc

Did you know Louisville Metro residents take approximately 4.8 million trips on TARC every year? That doesn’t include the 312,000 door-to-door trips provided on TARC3 ADA paratransit service.  A stable, well-used public transit system can reduce pollution, save households money, and eliminate barriers to jobs and education for community members.

TARC is in the process of developing TARC Tomorrow, the agency’s updated long-range transportation plan and we need input from community-based organizations, public agencies, employers, and other stakeholders.

Your input is important because the completed plan will include solutions to increase coordination among the region’s transit providers, improve bus routes and schedules, enhance the transit experience for current riders, attract new riders, and make TARC more efficient.

TARC representatives are available to speak now through the end of August at your regularly scheduled or a called organizational meeting. Our 15-minute session provides opportunities to comment both during the meeting and afterward, in writing or through an online survey.

If you are interested in having a speaker attend your meeting, please reply to this email with the name of your organization, the preferred day(s) and time(s) and the location of your meeting.  Someone from TARC will get back with you in the next couple of days.

If this timetable doesn’t work for  your organization, let us know that as well and we will look for an alternative solution to ensure your members can participate.

Please call Suzanne Ruark at 561-5518 if you'd like to request a speaker.
