Happy Fathers' Day!

Happy Fathers' Day

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads, Pops, Daddies, and Paws out there! And Happy Father's Day to everyone who serves as a dad, father figure, and steady influence for others. We appreciate you!

Dads receive free admission to the Louisville Zoo this Father’s Day

Dads get free admission to the Louisville Zoo on Ford’s Father’s Day, June 19. Families can bring their dad out to see the Zoo’s newest dads: Hartmann’s mountain zebra Gibbs, harbor seal Oscar, and soon-to-be father Masai giraffe Baridi.

Any father may simply inform the attendant at the gate as they enter for free admission. The Zoo encourages others visiting with dad to purchase tickets and parking in advance online for quick entry.

The Zoo is open daily year-round. Current hours through September 18 are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (exit by 6 p.m.).

Flag Day observance at St. Joseph's Home

Flag Day at St. Joseph home

St. Joseph Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor held the home's annual Flag Day event inside on Tuesday, June 14 due to the heat advisory.

Many thanks to the Knights of Columbus Honor Guard and Maria Bertrand, Activities Director for the St. Joseph Home, as well as Bernie, a pianist volunteer who played patriotic tunes for these members of the Greatest Generation.

If you'd like to get involved by volunteering or donating, read more about the Little Sisters and the home here
