Townhall Meeting on Homelessness in Fern Creek Tuesday, October 5th at 6:00pm

Greetings District 22,

I am hosting a townhall meeting to discuss homelessness, and invite you to join my office as we welcome 7^th Div. LMPD, Coalition of the Homeless, Office of Resilience and Community Services, Codes and Regulations and the St. Johns Center for Homeless Men at the Fern Creek Chamber of Commerce Community Center building to hear and discuss homelessness in Fern Creek. We have been seeing an uptick in homeless activity along the Bardstown Road corridor, in an effort to assist our neighbors and promote safety, I want to bring together residents and put them in contact with the agencies that directly serve our community.

TARC 3 Drivers Needed!

Cedar Creek Road Repaving Ongoing!

District 22,

I am excited to announce that Public Works began paving yet another major thorough fare in District 22 this month. Cedar Creek Road is currently undergoing repaving. Motorists please use caution in the upcoming weeks as road crews work to repave and stripe Cedar Creek Road. Thank you for your patience.

Louisville Water Company to upgrade 252 residential water meters in District 22

Louisville Water is in the early stages of a three year project to upgrade their water meters. In the coming weeks, contractors and employees will do work in a portion of District 22 to replace older meters with new ones. The installation is quick and will only result in water being turned off for a short period of time, typically less than 30 minutes. Before the work is performed contractors will knock on the door to let the customer know what they are doing. They will also leave a note on the door when the work is complete.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Walk: Thursday, September 30th at Big Four Big

St. James Court Art Show - October 1, 2, and 3

The St. James Court Art Show, a tradition dating back to 1957, will be held next weekend. More than 600 artists from across the country will display their works at this free event held in historic Old Louisville. It will take place (rain or shine) from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday. Face masks are requested for those who are not fully vaccinated or are immunocompromised. Click here for more information, including a list of artists and parking instructions.
