Louisville's newest championship team was honored at Tuesday's Louisville Bats game.

The Icemen senior softball team won the Softball Players' Association World Championship at the Ridge Hooks Memorial tournament in Columbus, Ohio, August 12. The team's home field is Al Benninger Field at Camp Taylor Memorial Park, which is named after Al Benninger, who served as the commissioner of the Louisville Senior Softball League for many years.

The Icemen, who compete in the 75 and up category, gathered for a photo with Buddy Bat and "youngsters" Councilman Mulvihill and Mayor Greg Fischer.

Congratulations to the team for representing Louisville and Camp Taylor Memorial Park.
