Thursday, July 15 - 6:30 PM-10:00 PM - High Horse: 1032 Story Ave. Louisville, KY 40206
Join us at High Horse for an unforgettable night of Louisville music, bourbon, and bidding to help the Forecastle Foundation continue to protect and connect the world’s natural awesome.
Louisville based Bendigo Fletcher will be performing. The full-length debut from Bendigo Fletcher, Fits of Laughter is a collection of moments both enchanted and mundane, sorrowful and ecstatic: basking in the beauty of a glorious lightning storm, waking with a strand of your beloved’s hair happily caught in your mouth, drinking malt liquor while bingeing “The X-Files” on a lonesome Saturday night. As lead songwriter for the Louisville, KY-based band, frontman Ryan Anderson crafts the patchwork poetry of his lyrics by serenely observing the world around him, often while working his grocery-store day job or walking aimlessly in nature (a practice partly borrowed from the late poet Mary Oliver). When matched with Bendigo Fletcher’s gorgeously jangly collision of country and folk-rock and dreamy psychedelia, the result is a batch of story-songs graced with so much raw humanity, wildly offbeat humor, and a transcendent sense of wonder.

UPCOMING
Tuesday, July 20 - 8:30 PM - Iroquois Amphitheater: 1080 Amphitheater Rd, Louisville, KY 40214
Five years ago, Louisville and the world lost Muhammad Ali. The boy that grew up on Grand Avenue and went on to change the world, not just through boxing but even more so as a humanitarian, died on June 3, 2016. What took place in Louisville over that week is something that the world will never see again: thousands from across the world flocked to Louisville; hundreds of international media were credentialed; and, with little prep time, the city and its partners created many events to pay respect to The Greatest of All Time and welcome and entertain the many guests. The world watched as Muhammad processed through Louisville, from A.D. Porter & Sons Funeral Home on Bardstown Road into west Louisville, and then down Broadway to Cave Hill Cemetery. The joy and emotions that filled the mass of people that lined the streets was a sight unparalleled from anything this city has seen before or since. That event made it clear that, while Muhammad belonged to the world, he only had one hometown.
City of Ali, an 81-minute film that documents the experience as well as Muhammad’s relationship with Louisville, was created out of that beautiful week. Join your fellow Louisvillians for a free screening at Iroquois Amphitheater on Tuesday, July 20 at 8:30 PM. Gates will open at 7:00 PM. Concessions will be available for purchase. Seats will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Details and a trailer for the film can be found here: https://www.cityofali.com/. Any proceeds from the film are going to the Muhammad Ali Center.

Thursday, September 2-Sunday, September 5 - Big Four Station Park: Jeffersonville, IN
Abbey Road on the River, affectionately referred to as "AROTR", the world's largest Beatles-inspired music festival, is held each year over Memorial Day weekend at Big Four Station Park in Jeffersonville, IN.
But in 2021, due to Covid 19, we rescheduled to the Labor Day holiday weekend, September 2-6.
For festival goers, Abbey Road on the River is truly the weekend they mark their year by. That’s because each year when people from all over the U.S. and abroad come together to celebrate the music of one of the best bands of all time, they reunite with their “Beatles family” and celebrates 5 days of peace, love and rock-n-roll.
Attendees will enjoy over 250 Beatles and 60’s themed concerts performed by 50 different bands from around the world. Attendees can also enjoy a Beatles-merchandise marketplace, on-site food and beverages, retail and craft vendors, interactive art and a kid’s area.
More than 20,000 music fans from across the universe have been regularly attending Abbey Road on the River since 2002. They come with friends, with kids, with grandkids, or even alone. They come because it’s a place where everybody’s happy. A place where the fans mingle with the bands, and the bands become fans when they watch fellow bands perform. A place where every day is like a magical mystery tour down memory lane.
