Top COVID-19 Takeaways from the Week
Vaccine Supply Readily Available in Jefferson County
The Louisville Department of Public Health and Wellness encourages individuals that have not received a COVID-19 vaccine to sign up.
Dr. Sarah Moyer, Director of Metro Health and Wellness, said event exposures are number one on the list when people report where they were exposed to COVID-19.
Event exposures include proms, graduations, weddings and other gatherings.
"The world is changing, guidelines and mandates are changing on the assumption that people are or will get vaccinated," she said. "Less than half of Jefferson County is fully vaccinated."
Visit vaccines.gov to find vaccine providers in your area. Additionally, residents can text their ZIP code to GETVAX (438829) to immediately receive addresses of nearby available vaccination centers.
