Iroquois Park Rundill Road Closure Survey - Respond by March 21st!

sdfafsdfafd

Louisville Parks and Recreation is seeking feedback on the future plans for the loop road (Rundill Road) at Iroquois Park.

The road has been closed to vehicular traffic since April to provide additional space for social distancing and recreational use during the height of COVID.

Please help Parks and the Olmstead Conservancy determine whether to reopen the road or keep it closed to vehicular traffic.

Your Voice Matters. Make it Heard!

The survey closes this Sunday, March 21st.

District 25's Inaugural "Good Neighbor Award"

adasfdsff

Councilwoman Amy Holton Stewart's inaugural "District 25 Good Neighbor Award" goes to:

Mr. Robert & Mrs. Maxine Anderson!

The neighbors of Timothy Hills nominated the couple explaining they are both a treasure of the Timothy Hills neighborhood! Not just because Robert is the longtime Timothy Hills HOA Treasurer but also because Maxine is the reliable smiling face every morning at the Valley Station McDonald's, happy to see and serve her customers since the McDonald's opened its doors.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson have lived in the Timothy Hills neighborhood and have been married for over 50 years! Robert, better known as Bob, proudly served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955. When not working for the neighborhood HOA or McDonald's they like to ride on their golf cart with their dog Molly and wave at neighbors making sure everyone is doing well!  Maxine even made a place at the end of the road to give the deer a snack. During neighborhood parades they decorate their golf cart and during the neighborhood Fall chili cook off you can see them dancing together. Mrs. Kim Kessel said, "They are just the cutest!"

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson are described as Grandparents and parents to those that have none. There are not many left like this couple. Councilwoman Holton Stewart is so happy to give this honor to these two great deserving neighbors.

JCPS Groundskeeper Positions Available Through Ahead Human Resources - Apply In Person Today

sdfasfdasfdasfda

Ahead Human Resources provides Jefferson County Public Schools with custodians and groundskeepers.

The custodial positions are temp-to-hire and start immediately.

They are ALL second shift; JCPS starts everyone on second while they are temporary. That is 2:30-11:30,

Monday through Friday. Each custodian must be able to get themselves to the CB Young Service Center on Crittenden Drive.

They will then transport them to the school or schools they will be working in for the evening. Then, they bring them back.

The employees must have reliable transportation, because they cannot catch TARC and get home that late in the evening.

These jobs are $13/hour until June 30, then the pay will DECREASE to $12/hour. The $13 is simply a hiring incentive.

30 openings.

The groundskeepers will begin April 1. This is the same situation as far as the transporting goes, but they report to the JCPS Garage on Preston Hwy. This is 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM Monday-Friday. Again, reliable transportation is necessary, as most people cannot get anywhere on TARC by 6:30 AM. These positions pay $12.30/hour. These could technically be considered temp to perm, but the season typically ends in November, so the majority of employee will be laid off. That said, they have hired our people to be a part of the year-round team in the past, and if not, we will be able to place them in other positions.

JCPS will not accept employees with felony convictions. They will all need to be background checked, TB tested, and complete a pre-employment physical. We pay for all of that.

Individuals should apply in person to us here at Ahead Human Resources, 2209 Heather Lane, Louisville, KY 40218.

They will need their driver’s license and their Social Security card.
