+ Free COVID-19 test event
Friday, Dec. 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 12 from 12 to 4 p.m.
The Somali Community of Louisville, the Office of Globalization and Bluewater Diagnostic Laboratory are hosting free COVID-19 testing events at Al- Hidaya Mosque, 5309 Mitscher Ave.
No appointment is necessary, but people are asked to bring a photo ID and, if they have one, an insurance card.
+ COVID test events in South Louisville Dec 10 - 14
The Co-Immunity project is collaborating with Green Heart Louisville to provide Free Covid-19 Testing events from Thursday Dec. 10 to Monday Dec. 14. These events are available to any adults 18 or older even if they have already been tested.
Participants will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card. Walk-ups are welcome but they recommend people to make an appointment. Please see the schedule below for your most convenient time.

Let Louisville Free Public Library help you put together a family night of fun with activities, trivia, book suggestions and more. December’s theme is Disney! Join us for trivia streaming live on Facebook starting at 7 p.m.

+ Last Virtual Violence Prevention Training
Saturday, Dec. 12 from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods would like to invite you to attend a Virtual Violence Prevention Training.
This is the last training of 2020, so there has never been a better time to participate! Come hear from experts as they cover a range of topics including Mental Health 101, Suicide Prevention, Community Organizing, Conflict Resolution, and the Public Health Approach to Violence.
Registration is FREE, and spread the word to ensure citizens across our city are engaged in violence prevention efforts!

+ JCPS Holiday Meals distribution
Thursday, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
JCPS will be offering winter break holiday meal distribution on Thursday, December 17. Meals will include breakfast for 19 days and lunch for 11 days.
Be sure to bring a vehicle that can hold several large boxes.

+ Virtual beginner Spanish courses
Tuesdays through Jan. 26 from 3 to 4 p.m.
Learn basic Spanish in a virtual classroom setting through activities, worksheets, and song. Ideal for beginners with little to no knowledge of the Spanish language. This course is free, but registration is required.
