Thanks to these volunteers who take care of the Jim King Trail

Hutch and helpers

Left to right were Hutch, Terry Singer, Councilman Mulvihill, (standing) and Tom Kaelin.

Many thanks to Tom Kaelin, Terry Singer and their group of volunteers for all of their hard work to maintain the Jim King Trail. The trail runs from Schuff Lane to the lower parking lot of the Louisville Zoo, essentially connecting to Joe Creason Park.

walking Jim King trail

Councilman Mulvihill met with Singer and Kaelin Wednesday to do a walking assessment.

If you're interested in volunteering to help keep the trail trimmed, mowed and free of litter, please contact our office.

Thanks again to these volunteers for their years of service.

Prosper Preston Group continues work with Business Survey

Councilwoman Nicole George of District 21, Councilman Mulvihill, and other community and business leaders have been meeting to do walking assessments along Preston, to determine the needs of the Preston Highway corridor. Representatives of the Office for Economic Development, Metro Code Enforcement and Planning and Design have joined in these walking assessments.

The "Prosper Preston Group" has identified issues to tackle, including pedestrian and motor safety, attracting development and tourism and eliminating vacant properties. The link to join the Facebook group for Prosper Preston is https://www.facebook.com/groups/prestonhighway.

A Business Survey on the Preston Highway area in District 21 and District 10 is here. We encourage business owners to complete this brief survey.
