Council to investigate actions, inactions surrounding deaths of Breonna Taylor and David McAtee, and related protests
Tuesday, the Government Oversight and Audit Committee voted unanimously to begin an investigation of actions and inactions surrounding the deaths of Breonna Taylor and David McAtee, and related protests in Louisville Metro.
Councilman Mulvihill supports this resolution.
The resolution lays out the reasons for the investigation, the scope, the statutory authority of the Committee governing the proceedings, and requirement of a report of their findings at the conclusion of the Investigation.
The resolution initiating an investigation will be officially read at the July 23, 2020 meeting of the Metro Council.

There is an Air Quality Alert for Friday in Louisville and Southern Indiana. Ozone is forecast to be Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups such as seniors, children, and people with breathing ailments like asthma and COPD. The general public is not likely to be affected.

Facemasks required in public
Following an increase in coronavirus cases, Kentuckians will be required to wear face coverings under several circumstances for the next 30 days.
The executive order will be evaluated during that time to determine any additional steps or extension.
