+ Mayor Fischer announces latest round of grants from the One Louisville: COVID-19 Response Fund
Mayor Greg Fischer today announced the latest round of local organizations receiving grants from the One Louisville: COVID-19 Response Fund.
The city helped establish the fund in partnership with the Community Foundation of Louisville in early March, in an effort to help individuals and community organizations impacted by the virus meet immediate physical and operational needs, such as food, transportation, educational services, and more. The fund is a community partnership that includes Metro Government, business leaders like UPS, Humana and GLI, and philanthropic partners like the Community Foundation of Louisville, James Graham Brown Foundation, and the Metro United Way.
In all, the fund has aided individuals and families across our community by supporting the work of 180 nonprofit organizations with grants totaling over $7.7 million. It has also provided about $2.9 million to individuals needing assistance through the city’s Office of Resilience and Community Services. In total, the One Louisville Fund has raised and distributed nearly $10.6 million in just over 3 months.
