Virtual meeting set for Tuesday, April 14th at 3:00pm
Louisville – The Metro Council’s Labor, Economic Development and Contracts Committee will have a special discussion at its next regular meeting on the impact of the COVID 19 virus on Louisville Metro’s economy.
“While we are still dealing with keeping the public safe and flattening the COVID 19 curve, it is important we as Council members get a sense of what impact this virus has had on local businesses and jobs,” says Councilman David Yates (D-25, who chairs the Committee. “I look forward to an informative discussion as we all deal with something the like we have never seen before.” The Councilman has invited the following people to participate in the discussion via video conferencing:
• Dr. Paul Coomes, University of Louisville • Steve Trager, Republic Bank and Trust • David Oetken, Louisville Small Business Development Center
This meeting will be held as a video teleconference pursuant to KRS 61.826 and Senate Bill 150. Members will participate virtually from their homes, or in person from the Metro Council Chambers on the third floor of Historic City Hall, 601 West Jefferson Street. Under a declaration issued by the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness to slow the spread of COVID-19, public access to Historic City Hall has been limited. In collaboration with the President’s Office, the City Hall entrance on 6th Street is locked with limited building access. A sign is posted on the door to call the on-duty security guard desk for approved entry.
As a result of, and in accordance with, this directive, the Louisville Metro Council’s Committee meetings will be open to the public through remote access only. The public may watch the proceedings live on Metro TV, Spectrum Cable Channel 184 or on UVERSE at Channel 99. Proceedings may also be streamed live from the Metro Council Clerk’s Archived Media page at http://louisville.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=2.
