The Office of Community Development hopes that you and your family are healthy and safe during these challenging times. Given the state of emergency declared by Mayor Greg Fischer related to the Coronavirus, the Office of Community Development’s staff has been conducting business via telework. Until in-office services resume, please know that we are available via phone or email to address your needs and concerns.
Remember, our website – www.louisvilleky.gov/vacant - continues to contain updated vacant property information as well. We have uploaded a short list of activities related to vacant properties that you can do while you are staying healthy at home – click here to learn more!
Finally, be sure to mark down on your calendar these upcoming opportunities:
April 13th: In keeping with our commitment to transparency and access, we are continuing with our normally scheduled monthly Land Bank and Urban Renewal meetings. If you are curious about upcoming projects, we extend a warm invitation for you to join us, virtually, on Monday April 13th at 3:00 PM for our next meeting. April 14th: New Last Look properties will be available Tuesday April 14th – Exciting News! Now you will be able to virtually “tour” those properties with one of our Real Estate Coordinators! Watch for an email with the video link next week.
Late April: A new RFP (Request for Proposals) will be launched in late April. Notifications will be sent out via email, but please keep an eye on our webpage for additional information. Virtual tours will also be offered for the RFPs.
Coming Soon! If you want to learn how to acquire a Land Bank property and don’t know how to start, great news, you will soon be able to watch a video presentation that showcases a step-by-step process towards acquisition of a Land Bank property.
