As you can see in the picture above, more than 200 volunteers showed up to help with the planting last Saturday morning. We want to thank the young people that showed up from the area High Schools to provide service hours on this project. Also, thank you to Lisa Dettlinger, Program Director and Ked Stanfield, Director and their crew for their hard work in putting this effort together. As many as 270 trees were planted in the neighborhood, Louisville Grows largest single community tree planting effort to date, Lisa is pictured to the left shaking hands with Councilman Mulvihill's daughter Katie.

Pictured above are some of the office holders and board members of the George Rogers Clark Park neighborhood Association. From left to right are Robin and Paul Brown, Lisa and Todd Cambron, Frances Kees, Marissa Manford and Carol and Ron Weckman. These folks have worked throughout the year to help improve the Park and the neighborhood and we really appreciate their hard work. Luckily, Councilman Mulvihill was able to visit with this group during their celebration for a few minutes after the last Metro Council meeting of the year last night.
