Backside Learning Center

Communications and Outreach Coordinator, the Backside Learning Center, Inc.

The communications and outreach coordinator is a full-time position, responsible for the organization’s communications and marketing efforts, including development of marketing materials, social media, relationships with media, community outreach, as well as the organization, marketing and communications for special events, with the goal of raising awareness of and support for the important role of equine workers in an industry so vital to our community’s culture and economy and communicating our programs and services to equine workers

Backside Learning Center

Youth Development Coordinator – Part Time (30 hours/week)

This position is grant-funded through the Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence’s Adolescent Health and Wellness grant, and thus only guaranteed for 18 months from the date of hire. This position will work as part of the Program Team, specifically with the BLC’s Family Program (FP) as well as Adult Education and Services. The BLC provides academic and social enrichment activities to school-aged children, while offering simultaneous English classes for their parents. Through this new grant, specialized programming and services will be developed and offered to working youth who may not be in school.
