The annual District 18 town hall meeting will be held on Thursday, August 29 at 6:00 p.m. at the new Northeast Regional Library located at 15 Bellevoir Circle. State Senator Julie Raque Adams, State Representative Jason Nemes, Jeffersontown Mayor Bill Dieruf, and Lyndon Mayor Brent Hagan will join me to provide various updates.
New this year, Metro Animal Services will be onsite with a mobile pet adoption clinic. They will bring several pets that can be adopted that evening, along with other information on pet adoptions. Come to the town hall meeting and take home a furry friend in need of a good home!
LMPD will be on hand for a prescription drug takeback event, so take this opportunity to clean out your medicine cabinets and get rid of old or unused medicines. Disposing of prescription drugs properly is the best way to ensure they aren’t accidentally used, or intentionally misused by someone.
The following agencies will also have representatives in attendance to answer your questions or concerns: Louisville Metro Police, Lyndon Fire, MSD, Department of Codes and Regulations, Metro Public Works, and Metro Animal Services. I look forward to seeing you there and having the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have.
