District 15 is happy to welcome Thorntons located at 4170 Taylor Blvd. This store will service food made fresh daily like sandwiches, donuts and burritos. Thornton's goal is to be your favorite place to stop to fill up your vehicle when you are on the move and they are looking forward to building a strong relationship with the neighbors in the Hazelwood neighborhood. The store will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As part of the grand opening, Thornton's stepped up to end hunger by donating $2,500 to Kentucky Harvest.
There will be no residential garbage, recycle or yard waste collection within the Louisville Metro Urban Services District on Labor day, Monday, September 2, 2019. All households affected by this change will return to normal collection the following week on Monday, September 9, 2019. All other households should set out garbage, recycling yard waste on their normal collection day of the week.
There will not be a one-day delay.
This "no collection-no delay" holiday is a change from the traditional one-day delay during holiday weeks. The change is a cost saving measure due to citywide budget cuts that went into effect on July 1, 2019.
