Submitting a city service request – and receiving status updates through to completion – just got a whole lot easier thanks to the new Louisville Metro 311 Reporting System and Mobile App from Accela.
I know what you are thinking: government apps stink. I tend to agree. But this one seems promising. I signed up for an account in 30 seconds (username, email, password), chose to receive email notifications when the status of an issue I submitted changes or a new comment is added (“Manage account”) and reported my first issue (standing water on Castlewood @ Barrett) all within a matter of minutes. Then, I downloaded the app free for iPhone (“Louisville Metro311”) and found the mobile user experience to meet or exceed the desktop. You can report a short term rental issue (“Zoning Concern”), junk pick up problem (“Missed Waste Services”), abandoned vehicle (“Property Maintenance Issue”) and more – all the greatest hits right at your fingertips. So, please take just a moment to sign up now.
…
Thank you.
