Dear Neighbor,

When watching the news anymore, if you're like me you probably find it hard not to make your head spin following just a few minutes of national news. But, tomorrow and honestly every day we truly have a lot to thank America's greatest generation for - our freedom, our safety, and our values.

75 years ago America and our allies joined together, regardless of party, politics, background, race, creed, or national origin, and pushed back against the greatest threat this world has ever faced: Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany.

Thankfully, the grit and determination of our forefathers, friends and neighbors persevered as they fought for us - people they couldn't even know yet. That is sacrifice. That is patriotism. That is something we should all be proud to know and honored to emulate.

We lose members of that generation every day, and most have already passed on. For those still with us, this year is probably the last milestone anniversary they will see. Please take time to thank them, take time to educate your families about their service and sacrifice, and take time to reflect on what that service means to you and to our nation.

While none of us can match their dedication, we can help keep their memory close to the pulse of our own. We owe it to our children, and their children to pass along a piece of the experiences lived by our greatest generation, that those heroes may help shape America's future.

Thanks,

BrentSignature

A typo in the from address popped up at some point (the software vendor acknowledged responsibility for this). So, if you responded to a previous newsletter, you probably didn't get a bounce back nor did we get your response. We apologize for not catching that error sooner. 311 mobile app-2019

In mid-June, Metro311 will launch a whole new online reporting system and mobile app that makes it much easier to report issues online or on your phone. The new app will also let you see issues that have already been reported on a map, and improves the ways you can track the progress of a resolution to your report along the way.

In preparation for the change, the current Metro311 Service Request Portal and the 311 mobile app will be offline from Wednesday, June 12 at 7 p.m. until Tuesday, June 18 at 8 p.m. as we prepare to launch our new and improved business and 311 portals.

After June 18, there will be a new mobile app for reporting issues to 311.  The link to download the app will be available on the Metro311 website.
