Please watch for the Fairdale Fire volunteers as they continue collecting (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) throughout District 13 for the 2019 "Crusade for Children"Many of the volunteers are youth and we ask that when you see the firetrucks in your neighborhoods, you use caution and keep them safe.

In 1954, WHAS TV established the Crusade for Children to help better the lives of special needs children in our Community.

Firefighters lead the way Fire departments across Kentucky and southern Indiana raise nearly 60 percent of the Crusade donations each year by staging road blocks and hosting other events. Over the years, the Fairdale Fire Department has been instrumental in the tradition of helping those in our Community, by helping collect for the Crusade for Chldren to benefit those special needs of our children. Every year, Fairdale Fire stands proud to collect these funds to help better the lives and provide opportunities for less fortunate children.
