There are approximately 100 boards and commissions affiliated with Louisville Metro Government. They make decisions and recommendations on a broad range of topics including land planning, economic development, public health, and public safety. It is important to have people of various backgrounds serving on these boards and commissions. One way that diversity is reflected is through broad geographic representation. I hope you will consider adding your voice as a District 17 resident. Below is a list of some of the current vacancies. If you would like to volunteer or learn more about possible opportunities, please visit www.louisvilleky.gov/government/mayor-greg-fischer/interested-serving-board-or-commission.
