Take Our Greenhouse Gas Reduction Survey!

Please take this brief survey and share your ideas on the best and most effective ways for Louisville to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and achieve its 80% reduction target. In less than 10 minutes, you can help us establish emission reduction strategies and be part of our city’s pledge to improve our environment.The last day to take the survey is Friday, March 15.

Louisville Grows Citizen Forester 101 Training

Louisville Grows is offering a Citizen Forester 101 Training on Saturday, February 9 from 9:30am- 3pm in the Chickasaw Neighborhood. Through the Citizen Forestry 101 course, participants learn how to build and maintain our neighborhood and community forests. Participants are taught basic tree anatomy and physiology, environmental stewardship, tree planting skills and how to lead other volunteers in tree planting events.  

Training is provided for individuals of all abilities, ages 12 years and older. The cost to attend is $25. A light breakfast, lunch and Citizen Forester t-shirt are included. Scholarships are available upon request. To register, click here.

Kilowatt Crackdown - Register your building for the 2018 Kilowatt Crackdown!

The Louisville Energy Alliance recognizes building owners and operators that track, reduce and report their energy usage using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. This year's competition will recognize the best performer in 2018 and the most improved from 2017 to 2018. Register here by February 25, 2019.

Kilowatt Cup - Register your building for the Kilowatt Cup competition!

The Kilowatt Cup recognizes superior achievement in energy efficiency. Winners are selected based on achievements in energy management, obstacles overcome and energy efficiency practices. The application includes a 500-word narrative and energy usage tracked in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. Building owners and managers may submit more than one building. Only one Kilowatt Cup will be awarded per year. Applications are due February 25, 2019. Apply here today!
