Thirty-six national titles are on the line December 11-16 as the nation’s leading amateur and professional cyclocross racers visit Joe Creason Park for the USA Cyclocross National Championships. National champions will be crowned in the junior, collegiate, U23, masters, and elite ranks.

Nearly 2,000 racers from across the U.S. will convene for the championships. Competitions begin Tuesday, December 11 with a full day of non-championship races. The contests to determine winners of the coveted Stars-and-Stripes jerseys begin Wednesday, December 12 in collegiate categories.

Masters events for men and women will be held December 12-14. Saturday features events for juniors and Industry Men and Women. The championships culminate on Sunday with the Junior 17-18 Men as well as U23 and elite competitions for men and women.

Joe Creason Park access changes

Because of the USA Cyclocross National Championships, vehicle access to Joe Creason Park will be limited starting the week of December 3 through the Championships, which conclude December 16.

The week of December 3, access to Joe Creason Park via Trevilian Way will be restricted due to the construction of a flyover for the course. Patrons will still be able to access the park from Illinois Avenue on the park’s west side.

The week of December 10, access to the park will be prohibited through the end of the race on December 16. Park access may be limited following the race due to maintenance and restoration efforts throughout the course and within the park itself.

For more information on the race, visit usacycling.org.
