Boys and Girls Haven

Boys and Girls Haven recently suffered a traumatic incident in which an apartment caught fire forcing foster teens to quickly flee before they could grab any of their personal belongings. Many of the foster teens ran out of the burning building with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Boys and Girls Haven is asking the community for donations; they are asking for gift cards, cash, toiletries, twin size bed sheets and comforters. Their main campus is at 2301 Goldsmith Ln., cash donations can be made at their website: http://www.boyshaven.org/

Thanks to everyone involved in the Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway at Newburg Middle School!

Nicole Adell, the principle of Newburg Middle School, teamed up with local LMPD officers to give out Thanksgiving dinners to families in need. Students at Newburg Middle collected canned goods and Jordon Adell, Mrs. Adell’s son, purchased all the turkeys for the event.
