Street Improvements for Colonial Gardens Project

Work to create a safer pedestrian crossing, additional parking and a new TARC bus stop next to the ongoing $5 million redevelopment of historic Colonial Gardens in south Louisville is nearing completion. Those improvements along W Kenwood Drive at the intersection of New Cut Road, along with a left turn lane from New Cut into the Colonial Gardens property, are scheduled for completion in mid October.

Engineer Steve Kurowsky is managing the $200,000 Public Works effort. The broader project to adaptively reuse the 7,000-square-foot historic Colonial Gardens building and add three new, one-story buildings on the property is slated for completion in the spring of 2019.
