Volunteer Recruitment [Our Money Our Voice]

.

Know of anyone who might be a great fit to assist our Participatory Budgeting Work-groups?

We're looking for volunteers to help Metro Government better understand the needs and priorities of local residents.

In addition to sharing announcements and redirecting people to our website to get more information about

  • the 'Our Money Our Voice' initiative
  • volunteer opportunities, and
  • upcoming events

we're recruiting volunteers who can assist with:

Outreach --

  • Providing information about the participatory budgeting process (via canvassing, word of mouth, sharing fliers and social media)
  • Help recruit volunteers who can assist with outreach
  • Time commitment (variable)

Idea Collection -- We need to get volunteers involved in collecting ideas at pop up and idea collection events (minimum 2 per district)

  • Let people know about the idea collection process
  • Assisting with Idea collection events
  • Help recruit volunteers who can assist with the idea collection process
  • Time commitment (variable; 1-2 hours per event)

Proposal Development – The biggest need for this work group is to recruit budget delegates:

  • Let people know about the proposal development process
  • Help recruit volunteers who can assist with the evaluation of whether the ideas are eligible to be voted on
  • Invite volunteers to the Budget Delegate training on Oct 25th

  • Time commitment (2-5 hours per week)
