Councilman Mulvihill and his family wish you a Joyful Holiday Season and a Prosperous New Year

chri

Jennifer, our children and I would like to extend to all of you our heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to serve you and to help with the many challenges that our community has faced together this past year. Many of you have generously shared your good ideas and have helped our office by being our eyes and ears in the community. Together, we have endured the inconveniences that come with the many infrastructure projects, road projects and the pressures of some of the social issues that are impacting our families. You have shared with us many of your accomplishments and allowed us to celebrate with you. We have been encouraged by the spirit of the residents of Metro District 10 and by your willingness to work together to make our neighborhoods and communities great places to live and work. Thank you for all you do for each other, our D10 Neighborhoods and for our entire community. We look forward to working with you this coming year. We wish you all a Joyful Holiday Season and a Prosperous New Year.

The Operations Center, at 3507 Newburg Road, replaces an outdated Central District facility of the Roads and Operations Division of Public Works; brings the Signs & Markings team together on one floor; and brings Electrical Maintenance storage, which was split in three locations, into a single site.

Critical daily functions, such as road and traffic signal maintenance, fabrication and installation of all traffic signs and road markings, along with snow removal, are performed or supported at the Operations Center, which will also function as the Public Works Emergency Command Center during major incidents.

Help minimize crime - take care with your vehicle

lmpd logo

From Major Mike Bogan, LMPD 6th Division Commander: In review of last week’s crime, I noticed a trend regarding car theft and car break-ins. There are members of the public that are still leaving their vehicles unlocked with valuables  still inside. Due to the weather change, people are also leaving their vehicles running unattended. Please advise the public to take the following crime prevention tips:

  • Lock and secure vehicles
  • Do not leave anything of value inside of vehicle. Including firearms, wallets, ID, etc.
  • Do not keep spare keys in vehicle.
  • Do not leave vehicle running unattended in driveways or at the fuel pump.
