Elmwood Ave. Sidewalk Near Completion
Late this summer Councilwoman Leet, the City of St. Matthews and Louisville Metro Public Works provided funding for a new sidewalk project along the east side of Elmwood Ave. (from Hubbards Lane to Cherrywood Road).
We are happy to report that this sidewalk project is near its final phase of completion.
One of Councilwoman Leet's goals is to provide as much sidewalk connectivity as possible for pedestrians throughout Metro Council District 7. Councilwoman Leet believes that this new investment in your neighborhood will not only increase pedestrian safety in the area but will also provide many other benefits including increased mobility, safer access to local schools and healthier communities.
