This Tuesday, Councilman David James brought the people of the
Parkhill area and Metro Government representatives together for a Community
Conversation. Covering crucial issues like speeding prevention, access to
fresh, affordable, healthy food, and litter control, Tuesday’s conversation
enabled Parkhill residents to give their direct input to Metro officials.
Representatives from Metro Public Works, Codes & Regulations, Harm
Reduction, MSD, and LMPD were also on hand to share about what they do, how
they work, and what they’re working in our community.
“It’s important that the people of District 6 and Metro
Government stay connected so our community’s concerns and issues can be
addressed,” says James. “Hopefully, Tuesday’s Community Conversation helped
build these connections, especially for the many people who have a difficult
time taking off from work to travel to a department if they have a problem.” “Community
Conversation” will continue on 14 November at the Old Louisville Neighborhood
Council, 1304 South Fourth Street, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
“Come talk to me about an issue and come find out what’s going
on in the district,” says James.

Held in the heart of historic Old Louisville amid the country's largest collection of Victorian homes, the St. James Court Art Show has for decades provided Louisville with a rich cultural legacy. Hosting an impressive 750 artists from across the continent, the St. James Art Show features everything from 50-foot-high bronze sculpture to intricate metalwork. We at District 6 look forward to another year of the Art Show. |
