Hermes! This handsome two-year-old guy came into the shelter as a stray. Hermes
is a laid back gentleman that loves to sit in a lap or Netflix and chill.

Lazlo
is too cool for shelter life! This three-year-old snazzy dresser came into the
shelter as a stray. Lazlo has long legs that love to run and play.
Unfortunately, the confines of his kennel don’t allow him to play as much as he
likes. Lazlo dreams of a life outside of the shelter with his new best friend
by his side. Will you be that best friend? Lazlo needs a home without cats. He
has been microchipped, neutered and vaccinated. Adopt Lazlo at the LMAS Animal

It’s that time of year again! The 17th annual RBA Light-up Riverport Golf Scramble will be held at the Iroquois Golf Course, on Saturday, August 19, 2017. Proceeds from the Light-up Riverport Golf Scramble will be used to pay the annual costs of Riverport street lighting. This annual event helps keep our employees safe and our facilities secure! Breakfast will be served beginning at 6:30am followed by a shotgun start at 7:00am. When the last team returns from play we’ll enjoy lunch and a presentation of trophies and door prizes.
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place; and the “Most Teams” entered by one company! Additionally, prizes will be awarded for: Longest Drive and Closest to the Hole. We hope to have 30 participating teams again this year! Please register your players and teams as soon as possible! Player names, teams and payment status will appear on our website until the event.

Join Councilman Rick Blackwell for the 10th Annual Back to School

Required Swim Wear & Safety Rules
- Family appropriate swim wear
must be worn in the swimming pool.
- A plain white t-shirt can be
worn on top of suit for women & as a shirt for men.
- Cut off’s or shorts will not be
permitted as swim wear in the pool.
- Minimum of one adult per child
in the pool for children 7 & under.
- One parent required to stay on
the pool deck for children 7 & older.
- A swim safety test will
be performed on anyone who wants to swim in the deep end.
- This is a family event-an adult
must stay with all children-no drop offs allowed.

The owners of Dixie Quick Stop, LLC, 4129 Flintlock Drive, have applied for a Quota Retail Package and Extended Hours and NQ Retail Malt Package Extended Hours until 2 a.m. license.
KRS 243.360 requires a person to first advertise their intention to apply for alcoholic beverage licenses in the newspaper.
Any person, association, corporation, or body politic may protest the granting of the license(s) by writing the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, 1003 Twilight Trail, Frankfort, Ky. 40601-8400, within 30 days of the date of this legal publication (was published on August 9, 2017).
- Some of the reasons for refusal of a license as stated in KRS 243.450 are
- Premise does not comply fully with all alcoholic beverage control statutes and regulations of the board.
- The applicant or the premises does not comply with all regulations of a city administrator.
- The applicant has done an act for which a revocation of license would be authorized.
- The applicant has made any false material statement in his application.
- Other factors include public sentiment in the area, number of licensed outlets in the area, potential for future growth, type of area involved, type of transportation available and financial potential of the area.
Below is a list of projects overseen by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet happening in Southwest Louisville.
US 31W (Dixie Highway) Sidewalk Improvements: Lane closures and delays possible between Heaton Road and Herbert Avenue (mile markers 14.4 to 14.9) due to preparation for sidewalk improvements. Lane closures are possible weekdays from 9
a.m. until 3 p.m.
US 31W (Dixie Highway) Paving: Lane closures and traffic shifts in place between Bethany Lane and Stonestreet Road (mile markers 7.7 to 9.7) due to drainage pipe installation. Additional lane closures are possible weeknights in the northbound lanes from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. and in the southbound lanes from 9:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. Lane closures are also possible on weekends from 9:00 p.m. on Friday until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 p.m. on Saturday until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

2611 Lower Hunters Trace - Louisville Water Company has been
issued Permit Number 17RW3608 to close one driving lane for utility
cuts. Permit is valid from July 24, 2017 through September 30, 2017.
5101 Graston Avenue - Louisville Water Company
has been issued Permit Number 17RW3607 to close one driving lane to
install water line. Permit is valid from July 3, 2017 through August 31, 2017.
