Railroad Crossings Closed for CSX repairs

Starting this week, several railroad crossings in and around Louisville will be closed as CSX crews work on the railroad tracks. CSX officials say motorists can expect to see signs detailing the closings and recommended detour routes over the next few days.
 
Specifically in District 7, the crossing at Whipps Mill Lane (August 10th & 11th) and the crossing at Lyndon Lane (August 14th & 15th) will be closed. Originally CSX  planned to close both of these crossings on the first day of school for JCPS. But, with the help of KYTC, Councilwoman Leet was able to negotiate a change in the closure schedule to prevent the closure of these crossings on the first day of school.
 
The affected areas include:
Lucas Lane and Maple (Private)- Close August 7th and 8th
Glenbrook Road- Close August 8th and 9th
Bellewood- Closed August 9th and 10th
Whipps Mill Road- Closed August 10th and 11th
Harrods Creek Road- Closed August 14th and 15th
Evergreen Road- Closed August 15th and 16th
Lyndon Lane- Closed August 14th and 15th
