The Veterans Day Parade and Massing of the Colors will be held this Friday, November 11th at 11:11am. The Parade begins at 4th and Main and proceeds west to 9th and Main. The 11:11 a.m. start time coincides with the exact time the Armistice took effect, ending World War I in 1918. The event also features a flyover of military planes and displays of restored military equipment and other exhibits including the “40 et 8” rail car which was sent to Kentucky by people in France in gratitude for donations following World War II. This is Louisville’s first Veteran’s Day parade in many years. The parade will be led by the 113th Army Band from Fort Knox. Mayor Fischer will address the crowd at the end of the parade in front of the Frazier History Museum.
On Monday, November 21st from 10am-2pm, Congressman John Yarmuth will host his Veterans Jobs and Resources Fair at Canaan Christian Church Family Life Center (2840 Hikes Ln. 40218). At the event, veterans and active duty military in will have the opportunity to meet with more than 25 local employers with job openings while also getting help and information about the benefits available to them.
Veterans and active duty military will also have the opportunity to learn more about job training programs, compensation and pension claims, health coverage enrollment, and mortgage information from representatives of state and national veterans organizations.
Hosted in conjunction with KentuckianaWorks, Louisville Metro Government, the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, the VA Medical Center at Zorn Avenue, and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, the event is free and open to ALL residents of Louisville. Our Customer Assistants are the first point of contact in helping customers with DSL self-installation and service in our high-paced call centers.
What you'll do as an AT&T Customer Assistant:
• Assist customers with registration, email creation, DSL physical line signal testing, modem/filter set-up
• Assist customers with email, browser, and modem troubleshooting
• Interact with other departments to resolve customer issues or provide additional services
Qualifications
In addition to STRONG communication skills, our Customer Assistants must have:
• Data entry and problem solving skills
• Basic computer skills
• Satisfactory results from a background/employment history investigation and drug screening
• The ability to work days, evenings or night tours; overtime, weekends, holidaysand split shifts as required
