The Francis Center will begin offering "Golden Fitness" classes for seniors on June 27th. These free classes will be open to anyone, although they are geared toward those 60 and older. Both Louisville Metro and St. Matthews will be delaying garbage, recycling and yard waste pick up scheduled for Monday, May 29th due to the Memorial Day holiday. Collection through the week will be delayed
by one day because of the holiday.
If you rely on a private waste hauler to collect your garbage and recycling, please contact them directly about their policies regarding the holiday.
For those in the Urban Services District (the old City of Louisville), the next Junk Set Out Weekend is June 9-11. Please set out any large items where you set your garbage or recycling for pick up by the Public Works department the following week.

The Main Library will host the Super Summer Reading Kickoff
and Cultural Pass Showcase on Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. This free event, in partnership with the Arts and Culture
Alliance, will offer activities, crafts, and performances. For

Cultural Pass
Children and young adults up to age 21 can receive free
access to 38 of Greater Louisville’s arts and cultural institutions with a cultural pass. The Pass is valid from June 3 to Aug. 12
for one-time general admission at each of the participating institutions.
The 2017 Cultural Pass is available at any Louisville Free Public Library branch and any Metro Louisville
Community Center.
