Budget – Monday, May 15th 3:30pm

The Committee continues its review of Mayor Greg Fischer’s proposed 2017 -2018 Capital and Operating Budgets. The Committee will review the following:

4:30 -6:00pm Police

Planning & Zoning - Tuesday, May 16th 1:30pm

The Committee has the following items on its agenda:

·       An Ordinance imposing a temporary moratorium on the issuance of permits for private institutional uses in single-family residential zoning districts throughout Metro Louisville pending the study, review and recommendations by the Planning Commission of Land Use regulations to address such facilities.

·       An Ordinance dealing with the amending of the Land Development Code of Metro Louisville.

While items may be on the agenda for this Committee, this does not mean all items will be acted upon or discussed. Please check with the Committee Chair prior to the beginning of the meeting.

Public Works, Sustainability, Parks &Transportation - Tuesday, May 16th 3:00pm

The Committee will receive and update from Director Vanessa Burns and Jeff Brown of Metro Public Works on the three year sidewalk/paving plan. They will also hear from Taylor Shuck on Brightside's work and plans for the future.

The Committee has the following items on its agenda: 

·       A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept $150,000 of funding from the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for the Cannons Lane Sidewalk Project.

·       An Ordinance amending the Louisville Metro Code of Ordinances regarding waste management.

·       An Ordinance creating a new chapter of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government Code of Ordinances relating to Louisville Metro Trees, Tree Canopy and Environmental Infrastructure.

Labor & Economic Development – Tuesday, May 16th 4:00pm

The Committee has the following items on its agenda:

·       A Resolution approving the granting of local incentives to Strong Tower Construction LLC, DBA Koch Corporation.

·       An Ordinance approving the twenty-fifth Supplemental Sewer and Drainage Revenue Bond authorizing resolution adopted by the Board of the Louisville Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District which authorizes the issuance of the District’s Sewer and Drainage System Revenue Bond, Series 2017A for the purpose of paying all or a portion of the costs of construction of the 2017A Project, and providing for the advertised public competitive sale of said current bonds in an amount not to exceed $185,000,000.

Community Affairs, Housing, Health & Education – Wednesday, May 17th   1:30pm

The committee will review a Resolution honoring the Cathedral of the Assumption’s mission to serve the less fortunate in Downtown Louisville by dedicating the alley at the Corner of West Muhammad Ali and Cathedral Way to be named “Bologna Alley” in its honor.

Public Safety – Wednesday, May 17th 3:30pm

The Committee will hear an Overview of the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) with Jody Meiman, EMA (Continued from the March 29, 2017 Public Safety Committee Meeting). The Committee will also hear an overview of the Coroner's Office with Dr. Barbara Weakley-Jones, Jefferson County Coroner.
