What is Portfolio Manager?
Portfolio Manager is a free website that allows you to track building energy consumption, water use and greenhouse gas emissions. Users can also benchmark against similar building types. The website facilitates the identification of high energy consumption issues, enables before-and-after energy use comparisons following efficiency upgrades and more. Learn more about Portfolio Manager.

More Free Resources
The LEA and Office of Sustainability offer additional technical assistance free of charge.

  • ENERGY STAR Verification Assistance Program - Through this program, some building are eligible to receive free verification for ENERGY STAR Certification. Once a building’s energy data is entered into Portfolio Manager, eligible buildings will receive an ENERGY STAR Score. If that score is 75 or higher, the building can be verified for free. This service can cost upwards of $2000.
  • One-on-One Assistance - If you’re having difficulties with Portfolio Manager or your building’s score isn’t quite at 75, the Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center (KPPC) a non-profit and non-regulatory center, will perform a free on-site energy efficiency assessment. KPPC’s customized on-site assessments, training and technical services can help you identify opportunities to develop a sustainable business and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

If you have questions about any of the above programs, all of which are offered for free through the Louisville Energy Alliance and the Office of Sustainability, please contact Angela Futter at angela.futter@louisvilleky.gov or 502.574.1976.
