Community Ministries will celebrate our 33rd year of uniting the SW
community in helping our neighbors in need. We will again have our annual
“Dinner with The Monarchs” on February 25 at The Church of The
Incarnation. The $30-ticket event will feature a delicious dinner, a live
and silent auction, followed with great music by The Monarchs. Doors will
open at 5:30 and fun immediately begins. Tickets must be purchased in
advance by calling SWCM at 502-935-0310 or stopping by to see us at 8504 Terry
Road.

organization that is a broad public/private collaborative dedicated to
promoting financial stability and asset building for individuals and
families. The Louisville Asset Building Coalition’s Volunteer Income
Tax Assistance (VITA) is a free, widely successful tax
preparation and Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Campaign that offers a wide
variety of financial services to the community. They are once again gearing up
for the busy tax season and offer the following services:
- FREE Federal and State Tax Preparation
- FREE Tax Assistance
- Access to many additional Financial Resources
- Check Cashing Referral
- Debit Cards for depositing your tax refund
- Savings Bonds
The South-end VITA

![pva](https://content.govdelivery.com/attachments/fancy_images/KYLOUISVILLE/2017/02/1227845/1228653/pva_crop.jpg) Tony Lindauer, Jefferson County PVA will host a public meeting on March 22nd, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Southwest Regional Library (Activities Room) located at 9725 Dixie Highway. Jefferson County PVA staff will discuss the upcoming 2017 PVA Property Reassessment.
The PVA will provide information to property owners on how their property is valued and will also instruct property owners how to conference their property assessment. Conferencing with The PVA is the first step to appealing a property value.
The PVA will also be on hand daily at the Southwest Library Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. beginning April 24th – May 15th to assist property owners in their conferencing process with the PVA.

Blitz we do beginning in March each year, our Roads and Operations Division
works year round patching potholes whenever they are reported to us. We
encourage anyone who spots a pothole in Louisville to report it to MetroCall as
quickly as possible. There are several ways to do it:
Whichever method you choose, make sure to be as specific
with location information as you can. Don't assume someone else has reported
it.

Effective March 1, 2017, all property located in Louisville Metro and occupied or offered for occupancy in exchange for money or any other consideration must be registered with Louisville Metro Government. Registration itself is free and the information required includes the rental unit street address along with current contact information of the owner and managing operator.
New owners must register within thirty days of any ownership transfer. Any change in contact information must be updated on the registry within thirty days of said change.

on a board or commission is a great way to utilize your talents. We hope you
will consider volunteering your time with us and encourage you to browse the
openings regularly for opportunities that would best utilize your experience
and knowledge. We have approximately 100 boards and commissions with
many areas of interest, including business and economic development, land
planning, parks and recreation, public health and public safety. It is
important that these boards have adequate representation from all areas of
town, including District 14 and Southwest Louisville, as they are responsible
for evaluating many important decisions that impact our city and its citizens.
