Snow Removal Progress Tracking

Louisville's snow routes focus on major roads, school and TARC bus routes, arteries to local employers, hospital and emergency routes.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) and private contractors clear more than 700 miles. There are about 1,000 miles of neighborhood streets that are not cleared, except during a declared snow emergency.

If you are parked on major snow removal route, we ask you to voluntarily move vehicles to avoid getting your car plowed into. 

Metro Government provides a detailed snow map for residents with up to the minute information on which roads have been treated or plowed.

Suburban City Snow Removal

If you live with in the boundaries of a suburban city please check your city rules regarding snow removal and removing your vehicle from snow emergency routes. 

Metro Council Republicans Elect Caucus Leadership

During their first Caucus meeting of 2017, the nine Republican members of the Louisville Metro Council’s Minority Caucus unanimously elected Robin Engel (District 22) to the position of Caucus Chair. The Metro Council’s Minority Caucus also unanimously re-elected Councilwoman Marilyn Parker (District 18) as Caucus Vice-Chair. This will be Councilman Robin Engel's third year holding a leadership role within the caucus. Engel served as Caucus Chair in 2006 and 2007. Councilwoman Parker will also be serving her third year in leadership, having served as Caucus Vice-Chair since 2015.
