 Dear District 7 Resident,
In a world that is ever-changing, it can become easy to get frustrated with what is happening at work, at home, in our country or around the world. However, the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday gives us the chance to spend time with friends and family, and to reflect upon the blessings in our lives.
I am grateful to live in a community where so many have dedicated their lives to service like our veterans, non-profit organizations, and volunteers. I am thankful for the more than 2500 men and women who serve Metro Louisville as police officers, firefighters, EMTs and paramedics in keeping us safe and making our community stronger.
Though they often go unrecognized, I am thankful for the team of engineers, project managers, and Metro Public Works staff who helped the Metro Council meet our goal of addressing our crumbling roads by paving over 100 miles of metro road this year. This is the first time in nearly a decade that this ambitious goal has been met. District 7 residents have seen their hard work firsthand with the paving of roads like Rudy Lane, Ormsby Lane and Mockingbird Valley Road.
I am thankful for the privilege to serve as your Councilwoman.
