offers dozens of programs designed to keep students’ minds and bodies active
during the summer break.
The city-organized programs complement the hundreds of camps and enrichment
activities organized by non-profit organizations, local colleges and
universities, museums, churches, libraries and arts organizations.
The passes will be available at all 18 Louisville Free Public libraries and
Metro Parks Community Centers, starting on May 23. They will be valid June 5 –
Aug. 6.

Getting to jobs, the movies, recreational activities and fun events around Louisville is affordable and easy for young people with the TARC Summer Youth Pass, which goes on sale Mon.May 23.
The pass costs $30 and is available to anyone 6-19 years old. With the pass, youths can take unlimited TARC rides on all routes from June 1-Aug. 31.
“We encourage young people and employers to consider the Summer Youth Pass for job opportunities this summer,” said J. Barry Barker, executive director of TARC. “The pass is a great tool for youth to access positive experiences all summer long throughout Greater Louisville.”
By taking public transportation, young people can gain self-confidence and become more self-reliant, important skills for lifelong success, Barker said. All TARC buses are equipped with bicycle racks that can provide greater mobility.
