Last weekend, our neighborhood turned out to give some much-needed care to Central Park. People from the Old Louisville Neighborhood Councils, the University of Louisville, Third and Fourth Baptist Churches, Dismas Charities, Toonerville, and all across the neighborhood came together to get the park ready for a busy spring. Over 280 volunteers planted trees, spread mulch, pulled weeds and so much more to spruce up the park. As Central Park gets busier and busier as summer approaches, so many people will be grateful for their hard work.
We would like to say thank you to all the people and groups who made this cleanup happen. You've helped keep our neighborhood beautiful.
This Sunday, come visit Praise in the Park at Central Park. This and other events are completely free and open to the public—so why not come and hear gospel music with your friends and neighbors?
There's so much else going on in Central Park this year, including Shakespeare in the Park, Jazz in Central Park, and shows by the Louisville Ballet. For a full list of events, click here!
On May 2, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife is holding a public auction of surplus and confiscated equipment. At the auction, you can buy power tools and hunting supplies, guns and even a dozen boats—maybe for far below their retail prices. To see what's at auction, click this link.
Items are for sale to Kentucky residents only, and payments must be by cash or check. For more important payment details, please click this link to find out more.
