Obtain a Green Living Certification for your neighborhood. Brightside, in partnership with the Office of Sustainability, offers the Green Living Neighborhood Certification program. A component of ONE BRIGHT CITY, the Green Living program educates individuals and households on how to live more sustainably through a competition-based incentive – by recognizing neighborhoods that achieve predetermined criteria with a Green, Silver, Gold or Platinum certification. The program encourages residents to help maintain air quality standards in Louisville, conserve energy, stay active and healthy, purchase local food, change unsustainable neighborhood policies, manage stormwater on site, choose more sustainable transportation options, decrease the amount of waste sent to the landfill, and conserve water. Visit the Brightside website today to learn how to obtain a Green Living certification for your neighborhood.
