How Serious Is Stalking?
OutrageUs mini-videos provide insight into how victims fall prey to stalkers; how it affects lives - a sister speaks on behalf of one deceased victim of stalking. Who are these stalkers? People who don’t believe they are doing anything wrong.
How big is the Stalking Problem?
Research by T. K. Logan, Department of Behavioral Science (University of Kentucky) stated almost 25% of Kentucky (420,000) women have been stalked at some point during their lifetime. Logan was the only researcher invited to a White House meeting on stalking (2012).
What is Human Trafficking?
Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. It involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act.
Where does it happen?
Millions of men, women, and children are trafficked into forced labor situations and into the sex trade worldwide. Many of these victims are lured from their homes with promises of well-paying jobs; instead, they are forced or coerced into prostitution, domestic servitude, or other types of forced labor. Victims are found in legitimate and illegitimate labor industries, including sweatshops, massage parlors, agricultural fields, restaurants, hotels, and domestic service.
