TAR Administration to Begin Monday, Oct. 12
The Transition Attainment Record (TAR) administration begins on Monday, Oct. 12. The lead team member is required to complete the TAR Training and Qualification quiz in addition to the Administration Code Training and Inclusion of Special Populations Training prior to beginning administration of the TAR. All members of the team assisting with TAR administration are required to complete the Administration Code and Inclusion of Special Populations trainings.
The TAR administration window is Monday, Oct. 12 through Wednesday, May 26, 2027. The deadline to enter the scores into the Student Registration Database (SRD) is Friday, May 28, 2027. A TAR retake request form will be available once the SRD opens on Monday, Nov. 9.

AKSA Window 1 Testing Materials
The Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) Window 1 testing materials will begin arriving in districts the week of Oct. 19. Please verify the contents of the shipment against the packing list within 72 hours of receipt to ensure all materials have been received.

ESAR Training/Quiz to Open Friday, Oct. 9
The online training and quiz for the Employability Skills Attainment Record (ESAR) is scheduled to open Friday, Oct. 9 in the Kentucky Alternate Assessment Program (KAAP) Online Training System (OTS). The ESAR qualifying quiz will close on Tuesday, Dec. 22. The links below provide access to materials necessary to complete the ESAR training and quiz.

ESAR Administration to Begin Monday, Nov. 16
The ESAR is a career readiness measure for the Postsecondary Readiness indicator of the Kentucky accountability system administered to students participating in alternative high school diploma courses of study or alternate assessment and working towards career readiness. The ESAR is a rating scale that assesses students' demonstration of skills linked to the Employability and Foundational Academic Standards-Alternate Assessment (EFAS-AA).
The Career Ready Database (CRD) is scheduled to open Monday, Nov.16 for data entry of the Career Work Experience Certification (CWEC) completion status and ESAR rating score entry. The Qualified ESAR Administrator is required to pass the qualification quiz before ESAR administration begins. The CWEC and ESAR qualifying quizzes will open on Friday, Oct. 9, and are scheduled to close on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
Teachers are required to pass both the CWEC and ESAR quizzes in the Kentucky Alternate Assessment Program OTS to access the CRD once opened for data entry. The deadline to complete the administration of the ESAR is Wednesday, May 26, 2027. Due to data reporting timelines, the deadline to enter all CWEC completion status and ESAR rating scores into the CRD is Friday, May 28, 2027.
