Q: What resources are available to assist DACs in preparing for QC Day?
A: Quality Control (QC) Day will occur on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET. The purpose of QC Day is to allow District Assessment Coordinators (DACs) to identify systemic issues in accountability data prior to public release.
Please note: The individual student data will not be changed during QC Day, as those updates were addressed during the Fall Reporting Data Review from Aug. 12-20.

In preparation for QC Day, DACs will need to download and complete the QC Day Nondisclosure Form, then save it electronically. Nondisclosures saved should be uploaded to the DAC Nondisclosure Submission Form by the close of business on Tuesday, Sept. 22. A nondisclosure must be submitted via the submission form to have access to data on QC Day.
A Special DAC email will be shared on Wednesday, Sept. 23 when QC Day data is available. This email will provide the steps required for DACs to complete the QC Day review process.

KSA and AKSA Released Test Items
Released items from the Spring 2026 administrations of the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) and the Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) are now available.
As required by KRS 158.6453, assessment reports provided to the school districts and schools shall include an electronic copy of an operational subset of test items from each assessment administered to their students and the results for each of those test items by student and by school.
In compliance with statute, statistical information is also available.
- For KSA, released item data files can be accessed in PearsonAccessnext (PAN) by navigating to Spring 2026 Summative > Reports > Published Reports.
- For AKSA, general data is provided on the last page of each item set. DACs can access district, school and student level data in the Student Data Detail.
DACs should inform superintendents and school principals that this information is available.
The KSA and AKSA data provide evidence of student learning that helps to inform decision-making related to instruction. Combined with other school-level data, these resources provide insight into student outcomes and a clearer picture of school performance.

September DAC Webcast Highlights
The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) Division of Assessment and Accountability Support (DAAS) hosted its live monthly DAC Webcast on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. - 12 noon ET.
