Question of the Week
Q: Are accountability training resources available for 2026 Fall Reporting?
A: Yes. The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA) has released an updated 2026 Accountability Overview Training and re-released the Accountability Indicator Trainings.
The 2026 Accountability Overview Training has been updated to reflect Fall 2026 accountability reporting timelines, data review opportunities and reporting processes.
The individual Accountability Indicator Trainings continue to serve as valuable resources for district and school staff involved in accountability reporting and data review, providing detailed information on each accountability indicator. Because Kentucky's accountability indicators remain unchanged for 2026 accountability, the training content is the same as the 2025 versions. Changes resulting from House Bill 257 will be reflected in accountability reporting beginning in Fall 2027.
All training PowerPoint presentations are available on the Meetings and Trainings webpage, and video recordings can be accessed through the KDE Media Portal.
District Assessment Coordinators are encouraged to share these resources with appropriate district and school personnel and to use them as reference materials throughout the 2026 accountability reporting cycle.
For questions regarding accountability system resources, please email DACinfo.

Reminder: DAC Binder Pre-Orders for AKSA Window 1
District Assessment Coordinators (DACs) who wish to receive a DAC Binder, which includes a district copy of the Attainment Tasks (ATs), should pre-order by the close of business on Friday, Aug. 21. In lieu of pre-ordering a DAC Binder, DACs may choose to retain school-level binders from each grade band (elementary, middle, and high) after Window 1 for any required make-up testing. School-level binders, including Required Assessment Materials (RAMs), will continue to be shipped to districts.
As a reminder, the DAC Binders will not be automatically shipped to districts with Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) testing materials.
To place a DAC Binder order for Window 1, please use the DAC Binder Pre-Order for Window 1 link.
For questions, contact Krista Mullins. For technical support with the ordering link, please contact Devon Avery.

District Assessment Coordinators, school administrators, kindergarten teachers, screening staff and data entry personnel are encouraged to attend either session. Questions related to local K Screen implementation are welcome.
