Individual KSA and AKSA Student Data Now Available in PAN
The Office of Assessment and Accountability (OAA), in collaboration with Pearson, has released individual student assessment results for the Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) and Alternate Kentucky Summative Assessment (AKSA) for all content areas.
The following reports are currently available in Pearson Accessnext (PAN):
- Combined Kentucky Summative Assessments School Listing (District level)
- Kentucky Summative Assessment District School Listing Data File (District level)
- Kentucky Summative Assessments School Listing (School level)
- Kentucky Summative Assessments School Listing Data File (School level)
Please note: Students who did not make a test attempt are not included in the student data provided. As a result, any exemptions shown in the reports pertain only to students who attempted some portion of a test.
To access reports, please refer to the directions on pages 27-30 of the PAN Navigational Instructions. This instruction guide, located on the KYPortal under Educator Resources, will be a valuable tool for new District Assessment Coordinators (DACs) just learning about PAN.
The KSA and AKSA student data may be shared with teachers and administrators who have an educational interest in the student (i.e., to prepare for instruction, identify strengths and areas for growth, etc.). OAA does not require that districts have teachers sign an Embargoed Data Non-Disclosure Form for this data. The Embargoed Data Non-Disclosure covers summary data and reports that are shared publicly. However, the data available in PAN is individual student data. To comply with FERPA laws, individual student data is never released to the media or shared publicly.
When paper versions of the Individual Student Reports are available later in the fall, results may be shared with students and parents.

2025-2026 Student Performance Level Cut Scores Now Available
The 2025-2026 Student Performance Level Cut Scores document is now available. This resource provides the scale score cut scores that define the Novice, Apprentice, Proficient, and Distinguished performance levels for both the KSA and the AKSA.
The 2026 KSA cut scores remain unchanged from the previous assessment year. The only update to this year's document is for AKSA Science. For 2026, AKSA Science scores reflect student performance on the revised Kentucky Academic Standards and are reported on an updated scale score range of 350-450.
The Student Performance Level Cut Scores document is available on the Accountability and Data Release Resources webpage, where educators and district staff can also access additional accountability and assessment resources.
For questions about cut scores or performance levels, please contact dacinfo@education.ky.gov.
