2026-2027 WIDA Screener Online Administration
The 2026-2027 WIDA Screener Online administration opens in WIDA AMS on Friday, June 26. Prior to June 26, DRC will update existing WIDA AMS accounts to provide access to the new WIDA Screener administration. Score all remaining Speaking and Writing responses from the 2025-2026 administration year by Thursday, June 25 (before the 2025-2026 administration changes to read-only).
Updates for 2026-2027:
- WIDA and DRC are implementing new accessibility features and accommodations for WIDA Screener Online and WIDA ACCESS Online in 2026-2027. Learn more about these changes by viewing the WIDA AMS and DRC Technical Enhancements for 2026-2027 webinar recording, available on the Webinars page of the WIDA Secure Portal.
- WIDA Screener Online test demos and test practice will be updated on Friday, June 26 to reflect updates to accessibility features and accommodations.
- WIDA ACCESS Online test demos and test practice will be unavailable beginning on Friday, June 26. They will be available again in September 2026 after they have been updated. Take advantage of WIDA Screener test demos and test practice to become familiar with the DRC INSIGHT test platform.
- WIDA ACCESS Online sample items will continue to be available but will not include the accessibility features and accommodations for 2026-2027 until September.
- DRC will retire the Report Delivery application on June 26. Download any remaining reports from 2022-2023 prior to Friday, June 26. As a reminder, DRC only stores reports for the current year plus two prior years in WIDA AMS. Please download reports promptly and make sure the scores are in the Infinite Campus (IC). After Friday, June 26, all reports can be found in the Reporting Services application.
For questions related to WIDA AMS, please contact DRC Customer Service or call (855) 787-9615.
WIDA NDUA
When logging in to the WIDA Secure Portal on or after Wednesday, July 1, users will be prompted to agree to the Non-Disclosure and User Agreement (NDUA). As a reminder, educators will not be able to view secure materials and resources without agreeing to the NDUA.

Assessment Scores in Infinite Campus (IC)
KDE strives to publish student assessment results in IC as scores become available. KDE will publish the following scores beginning on Wednesday, June 17:
- 2025-2026 National SAT scores from May 2026
- 2025-2026 Kindergarten Screener (Brigance Testing)
Student scores are matched to the extent possible, but not all students can be matched. Please email KDE data services with any questions or reports of missing scores.
Deadline for G-Codes to be Entered into IC for 2025-2026 School Year
The end of the school year is a very busy time, and there are many actions to take to complete the year. As a reminder, the Graduation Codes (G-Codes) are due soon. Rodney Bennett, with the Division of District Services, monitors G-code entry, and OAA will use that data for Graduation Rate reporting this fall in the School Report Card. The deadline for the G-code end status and graduation tab to be entered in IC for regular graduates is Tuesday, June 30. The G-code end status and graduation tab must be completed in IC for all summer school graduates by Friday, July 31. OAA will run and provide districts with initial graduation rates based on final-year G-codes as of June 30. OAA will monitor for any data quality issues and follow-up with DACs in July and calculate final graduation rates in early August based on any changes from summer graduates.
For assistance with cohort questions, in the Student Data Review and Rosters (SDRR) application, click on the I NEED HELP button and choose Cohort. For questions, please contact KDEassessment or call (502) 564-9853.
Reminder: School Reconfiguration Changes For 2026-2027 School Year
OAA asks that DACs submit information on A1 schools with service area changes for the 2026-2027 school year by Tuesday, June 30. Changes to school service area (reconfiguration) requests need to be made if any of the following situations apply:
- the grade range in an A1 school changes
- a new A1 school is opened
- an A1 school is closed
- an A1 school boundary changes
- a shift in student population of more than 40% occurs
The reconfiguration spreadsheet, instructions, and Frequently Asked Questions can be found on the Forms page located on the Assessment and Accountability section of the KDE website.
In addition, changes must be submitted through the District and School Collection Repository (DASCR) application. Those unfamiliar with the DASCR application should review the DASCR User Guide. Access to the application is managed by the district Web Apps Admin Point of Contact (WAAPOC). WAAPOCs may contact the KETS Service Desk with questions/issues with DASCR at (866) 538-7435.
Reminder: Upcoming In-Person K Screen Train the Trainers Session for New Staff
KDE, in partnership with Curriculum Associates, will host an in-person Train the Trainers session for new Kindergarten Screen Coordinators on Thursday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET at the Central KY Special Education Co-op, Harrodsburg Campus. This five-hour session is required for any new K Screen coordinators responsible for delivering the three-hour BRIGANCE K Screen III training to teachers and district staff. This training is only required for new coordinators and is a crucial step in preparing them to support the implementation of the BRIGANCE K Screen across their districts.
To support active participation, attendees are asked to bring:
- A copy of the K&1 Screen III
- The manipulatives (blocks and shapes)
- A children’s book with substantial text per page
As a reminder, the BRIGANCE K Screen implementation requires specific training for all roles:
- New district trainers must attend the full six-hour TOT session. Returning trainers must complete an annual refresher webcast provided by KDE.
- Staff new to administering the screen must complete a three-hour training, led by certified district trainers, either in person or virtually.
- Experienced screen administrators are required to attend yearly refresher training, with content and delivery determined locally.
- Data entry personnel using the BRIGANCE Online Management System (OMS) must complete a two-hour online video series, with refresher training assigned at district discretion.
- Staff entering prior settings data in Infinite Campus must annually review the KDE training video and refer to the Infinite Campus K Screen Reference Guide.
All training must be completed prior to the start of screening, and documentation (including sign-in sheets and implementation agreements) should be kept on file for one year.
Registration for the Thursday, July 16 session is open and will close at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, July 10. Attendees will earn 6 hours of Effective Instructional Leadership Act (EILA) credit.
For those unable to attend, KDE will offer an additional in-person training on Tuesday, July 28 and an evening virtual Train the Trainers session on Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27.
Please contact Tiffany Christopher with any questions regarding K Screen training.
